The Australasian Tuberous Sclerosis Society

The ATSS Family Conference was an outstandingly successful weekend by all reports. More than 40 people attended from all over Australia.  The Conference program was full and offered a variety of information covering medical topics, therapy, personal stories and opportunities to socialize and meet others.

To celebrate the 25th birthday of ATSS, a National Picnic Day will be held on the 26th of November 2006. There will be events in each state to bring together families affected by TSC - Melbourne, Sydney, Maitland, ACT, Gold Coast, North QLD and Perth.

Following the success of our first National picnic day in 2006, 2007 will see TSC families from around Australia come together in 8 locations on 24th and 25th November, 2007. The picnics are a great chance to meet other TSC families or even catch up with a few old friends.

For lunch events, please bring your own picnic or take advantage of the BBQ facilities at each site. Please RSVP to the regional contacts listed for each event.

Recently, an information session was held at Sydney Children's Hospital by the ATSS medical advisors. It was a great success and Sue Pinkerton has written about the afternoon.
