CSU genetic counselling presentation Print E-mail

Sue Pinkerton, President of ATSS Inc. recently presented a paper to 14 students doing the external Genetic Counsellors Course at Charles Sturt University. Sue shared information about:

  • what is Tuberous Sclerosis?
  • the impact on the family of a diagnosis of TSC
  • her own TSC story
  • the work of the Australasian Tuberous Sclerosis Society.

Sue is a very positive and passionate speaker who addresses the issues with hope, but is realistic and honest when addressing the challenges a diagnosis of TSC presents for a family. The Genetic Counsellor students demonstrated a great deal of interest in the effects on family life of a diagnosis of TSC.
