NSW Governor to open Scientific and Family Conference Print E-mail

ImageHer Excellency, Professor Marie Bashir, Governor of New South Wales, has accepted ATSS's invitation to open the innagural ATSS Scientific and Family conference. The Governor will address the combined conference attendees on Saturday, 3rd November at The Children's Hosptial, Randwick.

Professor Bashir, the first woman to be appointed Governor of NSW, took up her office on 1 March 2001. Prof Bashir has a diverse background in medicine. Before her appointment as Governor, Prof Bashir taught at the Universities of Sydney and NSW, increasingly working with children's services, psychiatry and mental health services, and indigenous health programs.

  • The conference dinner, on 3rd November, will be held at the Bondi Icebergs Club, with a stunning view of one of Sydney's most recognised locations.
